Exminster Youth Project at the HLC

Exminster Youth Project (EYP) is a voluntary organisation governed by a management committee chaired by Caroline Aird. The project is run in partnership with Devon County Council’s Devon Youth Services (DYS).   Richard Green, the DYS Area Youth Worker who covers Exminster, is based in Dawlish.
We run a drop-in session at the Westbank on Tuesday evenings 7-8.45pm for school years 7- 11. Activities include computers, games, crafts, food, quizzes and music.  We have several young people involved as senior helpers and they have their own day and weekend events for development.
Thursday is activity evening;   young people attend from 7pm for specific activities - please watch this space for details- and to work towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
To make all this happen, we rely on volunteers and paid youth workers. We have vacancies for volunteers to help in a number of roles depending on what would suit you. It is rewarding, and we will provide training as necessary.  The management committee is also made up entirely of volunteers.
