Volunteer Mentors meet 1-1 with a young carer and help them to achieve their goals and feel more positive about their future. This can involve listening, helping to problem-solve, supporting young people in furthering their education, employment and training, and sometimes advocating on their behalf. Mentors develop positive and supportive relationships with a young carer which promotes the development of self-esteem and confidence. Most importantly, mentoring enables a young carer to take regular breaks from caring, try new activities and have fun!

No specific experience required; training and support will be provided.
