Caroline Dunlop, Westbank Childcare Manager

About my role at Westbank

At Westbank, I am responsible for providing high-quality childcare provision through our After School Club, Holiday Club and Family Time services. I work with a great team who bring a wealth of experience and skills to our fun filled sessions.

I began working as a Nursery Nurse over 18 years ago and from that role progressed into teaching, qualifying as a Primary School Teacher in 2005. Since qualifying,  I have worked in many settings ranging from nurseries to different Key Stage One and Two Primary Education classes.

NNEB Diploma, Nursery Nursing

Bachelor of Education Degree(BEd) with Qualified Teacher Status

Multi-Agency Safeguarding and Child Protection (Group 3 Core)

My values

My interest is in Early Years, with each child bringing something new to the learning environment.

I am thoroughly enjoying my new role at Westbank, as I can provide care and learning through a range of enjoyable activities outside of the school curriculum's constraints. I believe all children should be able to unwind and have fun; Kidzone offers a much-needed service to them and our village.

My personal interests

I enjoy spending quality time with my family and keeping active. I love baking with my young children and also working out in the gym.

It's great to work with children of various ages and abilities and get to know what they are interested in and involve this in our activity planning.
