About my role at Westbank

I am Head of Finance at Westbank with responsibility for statutory accounts, maintaining robust financial procedures across the organisation and heading up the budget setting and management reporting process.

My stand out career moments

I am lucky to have had a varied career within accountancy – starting in a Devon accountancy firm after gaining my Accountancy degree,  moving on to a period of subcontract work and self-employment with a wide range of businesses and then concentrating on Charity sector clients from 2001 including Westbank where I am now employed.

My values

I find it difficult to comprehend how some people are marginalised within our society, and I am glad to work for an organisation where everyone can expect to be treated with dignity and compassion, and I try to live up to those ideals in my life away from work.

Family life largely defines who I am outside of Westbank. I am married with a grown-up son, 6-year-old granddaughter and act as a carer to my Mum. My interests away from that are playing music ( Cello), learning to speak Welsh, and anything creative (writing, painting, crafting, flower arranging.) I am also a lover of stationery – I can never have too many notebooks!
