Westbank kidzone are seeking an enthusiastic childcare practitioner to join our well-established and thriving after school and holiday club for children aged 3-12 years. You will need to have relevant experience working with 3-12 year olds and hold a minimum level 2 qualification in childcare or Play-work. It is also preferable that you hold relevant safeguarding and Paediatric first aid certification; although for the right candidate training will be provided.

Your role is to support the team in providing high quality of care for all our children whilst providing stimulating activities in a safe and secure environment. For this role it is essential that you have a passion for working with children, are adaptable, reliable & self-motivated.

Childcare Practitioner Job Description

We will be shortlisting on the following key responsibilities so please use the supporting statement to evidence how you meet these.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Previous experience of caring for, or working with children aged 3-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity
  • An understanding of Play work Principles and Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum 
    • Childcare/ Play work qualification or NVQ in Childcare/Play work (Level 2) or above
    • Proven administrative experience, including handling confidential staff and child records
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.  A positive approach to working with children.
