All welcome, from closet singer to seasoned performer

The Westbank Community Choir is open to all, from closet shower singer to seasoned performer.

Singing in a choir is a great way of learning to sing in a friendly, supportive and vibrant atmosphere. You don’t have to audition and all music is taught by ear so you don’t have to read music.

The choir is directed by experienced Musical Director Chris Harknett. Chris has worked with many local community choirs; his performance credits include a variety of roles from Javert in Les Misérables to playing 7 roles as a chorus member in Stephen Berkoff’s The Trial.  He has been a soloist at the university, and co-written original music for theatrical productions, including a recent collaboration with Restless Theatre Company.

The choir sing a whole range of music – from The Eurythmics, to Marvin Gaye, to Edith Piaf to Mumford and Sons, and are open to suggestions.
