About my role at Westbank

I have been employed at Westbank since 2007, so have witnessed the growth of the Westbank over the years.  My role is to look globally across the organisation and make sure that it is safe internally and externally with what it does.

My stand out career moments

I trained at a catering college for two years after leaving school.  This training has been the foundation of all of my working life.  I have had a varied career of working in the catering industry, running my own business, social care and latterly Westbank.

Memorable moments have been passing my PSV driving test (first time!) and gaining my first degree at the age of 55!

My values

Working with committed, passionate and dedicated colleagues (staff and volunteers) that deliver and support a range of community services to people who need it.

Personal interests

Family is the centre of all what I do.  I am married and have four grown-up children (all in their 30’s!) and 5 grandchildren who are the “pot of gold” and bring a lot of joy with little responsibilities!

Cooking and gardening are “my go-to” activities.  I also enjoy dancing and going to the theatre or concerts.

“Seeing and hearing the difference and impact that Westbank staff and volunteers make to people’s lives.”
