What is Devon Carers Voice?

Devon Carers Voice is for carers. The aim is to encourage more carers to be involved and ‘have a say’ in decisions that affect them and their cared for.

Devon Carers Voice is being developed to make it easier for people to become involved in a variety of different ways. To ‘have a say’ through attending conferences, public meetings or forums, to respond to questionnaires, to read text and comment on readability for carers, to participate in focus groups and workshops.

How does Devon Carers Voice work?

Devon Carers Voice is a way for us to find out what you think about current services or to influence the development of new services. We collect your views in a variety of ways and use this information to try and shape the services we offer so that they are closer to what you have asked us for. This information may be collected on behalf of and/or shared with the statutory sector. It helps to inform the professionals of carers’ views and can be used to influence the way services are provided.

Why we need you?

We are looking for carers with a range of backgrounds, skills and experiences who are willing to commit to being involved in some way. You do not need any additional skills, the knowledge and skills you have as a carer more than qualify you for the role.
