Do you look after an adult who couldn’t manage without your help?  You may be an unpaid carer!

A carer is a person who provides unpaid care and support to a family member, friend or neighbour who is disabled, has an illness or long-term condition, or who needs extra help as they grow older.

If you care for someone with dementia, personal care can become a challenge.

In this live, online Zoom session we will:

Look at the environment factors.

Chat about which clothes are easier to get dressed in

Discuss pain and discomfort the person with dementia may feel.

Talk about the importance of language and routine.

Look at easier ways to clean teeth and shave.

Talk about Agnosia – not recognising faces.

Discuss why people with dementia maybe fearful.
