About the role:

We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a flair for customer service, strong communication skills and, excellent IT skills across multiple applications and databases.

Healthier Devon delivers a Devon-wide Diabetes Prevention Programme which aims to reduce people’s risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. The aim is to support people through a health educational programme to make sustainable lifestyle changes that help them to better understand, and to take control, of their diet and exercise, and to better manage their health.

As the Project Support & Lead Administrator:

  • You will onboard participants onto the programme and assign them to the most appropriate course or initial assessment appointments;
  • You will process referrals to the programme and input patient details onto the database;
  • You will support resource management for this multi-site provision;
  • You will be a professional and positive point of contact for the team, managing the flow of communications (telephone calls, emails, correspondence etc), ensuring that messages are passed on clearly and in a timely manner;
  • You will comply with all relevant confidentiality and data protection policies and procedures, including those defined by law.

What we are looking for:

We will be shortlisting on the following criteria, so please make reference as to how you meet these in your covering letter: 

  • Experience of providing an excellent telephone service, and responding to all queries in a professional manner;
  • Experience of accurately inputting data onto a database;
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks;
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills;
  • Ability to work well in a team, but also be able to work independently;
  • Experience of providing administrative support in a similar role.

Rate of pay: £11,700.00 pro rata (£19,240.00 FTE) (to be reviewed following successful probationary period)

Hours per week: 22.5 (Working 09.00 – 17.00 over 3 days. Working days can be flexible)

Location: Westbank, Exminster

Contract: Fixed term until July 2023
