Memory cafes are an opportunity for people with memory problems and their carers to spend time in a welcoming and supportive environment for enjoying social interaction, memory stimulation activities, peer support, advice and information and refreshments.  Volunteers will support a project worker to make, new and regular, visitors to the memory café welcome and at ease, including both carers and those they care for, and assist with refreshments and activities where required.  There may also be opportunities to lead activities or to take responsibility for particular areas.

We coordinate and facilitate four memory cafes across Exeter and Exminster: St James, St Thomas, Pinhoe and Exminster; with each one being delivered once a month.  The memory cafes are facilitated by our Coordinators, with support from volunteers.  There are plenty of different opportunities for volunteers to get involved in at the cafes.
