Fun, Easy and Social Cooking Sessions A new community cooking initiative in Exeter, Cullompton and Tiverton Fun, Easy and Social Cooking offer ongoing sessions giving participants the opportunity to learn how to cook on a budget, cook for one, avoid food waste and to cook healthier meals; it is run in a fun and friendly group environment. The sessions are run monthly both 11am-2pm to prepare then share lunch: in Cullompton at The Walronds, 6 Fore St, Cullompton, EX15 1JL on the following dates: Fridays on 15 February, 15 March, 12 April, 17 May and 21 June. in Tiverton at St Georges Venue, Becks Square, Tiverton, EX16 6PJ on the following dates: Wednesdays on 6 March, 3 April, 1 May, 5 June. in Exeter fortnightly at The Beacon Centre, Pendragon House, Beacon Lane, Exeter, EX4 8LZ on the following dates: Mondays on 4 March, 18 March, 1 April, 15 April. The cost per session is £3.50 and is subsidised at The Beacon Centre at £2. You can attend all or some of the sessions. Places are limited so booking is essential. Katheryn Hope, Healthy Neighbourhoods says "Do you need ideas on how to cook healthy budget meals for your family or are you alone and would like to learn easy ways to start cooking? Whether you're a complete beginner or need new ideas, join our small friendly hands-on monthly cooking sessions in a safe, fun environment. Ingredients are provided and sessions finish with everyone sharing the delicious food together." We are also looking for volunteers to support this activity. If you enjoy cooking, then we would love to have you as a volunteer to help participants benefit from these sessions by sharing your knowledge and enjoyment of cooking with them.
