About my role at Westbank

I have worked in the Volunteering Department for over 5 years, during this time I have played a pivotal role in designing, implementing and leading teams of staff and volunteers to deliver services which reflect the core values of the charity.

My stand out career moments

Winning the ITV People’s Millions Diamond Jubilee Award to deliver the ‘Down Memory Lane’ project. A truly memorable experience of taking people living with dementia and their carers around the lanes of Devon on a 1958 double-decker bus – oh what fun we had!

My values

It is very important for me to be able to use my knowledge and skills to help deliver services which make a difference to people who have reached a period in their lives when they need a helping hand or support to better manage their health and/or wellbeing.

Personal interests

I have lived in Devon all of my life and love living beside the sea, going to the beach in all weathers is still one of my favourite things to do!  Most important of all are my family, I adore spending time with my 3 grandchildren.

“Simply put, working with an amazing team of people who genuinely care about the people they support and are always willing go the extra mile to help someone in need."
