We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced person to join our front of house team at Westbank.

Award-winning Devon based charity Westbank have an exciting opportunity for you to join our front of house team as a Receptionist and Administrator.  

Your role will include:

  • Managing our reception desk, performing a variety of administrative and support tasks;
  • Being the first point of contact for the varied visitors and callers to our Centre;
  • Welcoming, directing and announcing visitors as appropriate;
  • Ability to deal with emergencies in a timely, calm and effective manner.

About You:

We will be shortlisting on the following criteria, so please use the supporting statement to evidence how you meet these:

  • Experience of being part of, or managing a customer focussed service;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuade, influence and, when appropriate, challenge with tact and diplomacy;
  • Experience of working in a customer services setting;
  • Excellent administration, organisational and reporting skils;
  • IT literate, including the ability to use MS Office software;
  • Ability to collate accurate data records;
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and use own initiative, with excellent attention to detail;
  • Understanding of legislation and principles of GDPR (data protection).

Rate of pay: £7,413.12 pro rata (£17,142.84 FTE)

About Westbank:

Westbank is an award-winning registered charity, based in Devon, established in 1986. The organisation was originally set up to provide practical and emotional support to people in the villages along the west bank of the River Exe. The organisation now works with communities and individuals across Devon.

The centre in Exminster includes a gym with disabled access equipment, Kidzone, conference facilities, day care services and volunteering; our community support services are delivered to local communities across Devon. We also manage Seachange, based in Budleigh Salterton, which provides health and wellbeing services to communities across East Devon; and deliver our Devon Carers and Devon Young Carers services and a Type 2 Diabetes prevention programme in Devon.
