Service update: Kidzone and Gymnastics Club

The health and wellbeing of our team members, our volunteers and the communities we support is paramount to our Leadership Team and our Board of Trustees.  We are coordinating our services to ensure we continue to support vulnerable people in the community while safeguarding our team and volunteers.  As an organisation that works with residents in the local area, we recognise our responsibility to keep communicating and connecting at the heart of our response to the current situation.

Please note:

We are now full for summer. If you are interested in putting your child/ren name onto our waiting list then please contact [email protected]

Kidzone:

We are currently working to ensure we are COVID safe and secure.  We will be making some adaptions to help limit the risk of coronavirus transmission, whilst continuing to deliver our fun filled service.

Our summer programme is normally the busiest time for kidzone. Based on government guidance we have had to limit the capacity of our service to 15 children per day and will be working with limited staff capacity.

We will take precautions to ensure we are meeting government requirements whilst operating our holiday club, but we also need to ask that you adhere to the following requirements:

It is vitally important that anyone who may be displaying coronavirus symptoms, or living with someone who does, to not attend Kidzone. This includes children and also our staff members.

If your child, or anyone else in your household, develops coronavirus symptoms as detailed below, they should not attend Kidzone unless they have tested negative for coronavirus.

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste
  • has displayed symptoms in the previous 7 days
  • lives with someone who has displayed symptoms in the previous 14 days

If we are concerned about a child within Kidzone who is presenting with coronavirus symptoms they will need to be collected immediately.

It is also advised that parents ensure the children use only ONE childcare provider over the summer to limit the risk of transmission.

We want to ensure the children have an amazing summer with us and we look forward to welcoming you all back very soon.

Gymnastics club:

In response to Government guidance, our gymnastics club at Westbank Exminster is suspended until further notice.
