The health and wellbeing of our team members, our volunteers and the communities we support is paramount to our Leadership Team and our Board of Trustees.  We are coordinating our services to ensure we continue to support vulnerable people in the community while safeguarding our staff and volunteers.  As an organisation that works with residents in the Exminster, and surrounding areas, and Budleigh Salterton, we recognise our responsibility to keep communicating and connecting at the heart of our response to the current situation.

Healthy neighbourhoods:

  • In response to Government guidance, we have suspended all social activities and groups delivered as part of the healthy neighbourhoods project in Mid and East Devon. The team will now be coordinating our Community Support Service.

We are delivering the following services:

  • Setting up a dedicated phone line and email address where you can contact us if you need help, or can give help:

How our team are working to deliver this service:

Although our health and wellbeing sites at Westbank in Exminster and Hub at Budleigh in Budleigh Salterton are closed to the public.  Our offices will remain open where our team members and volunteers will continue to deliver our community support service.

Support for our volunteers:

We aim to make sure that anyone who gives their time to us feels valued, understood and proud to be part of Westbank.  We will support you in your volunteering role, through telephone and online catch-ups, safeguard you in your role by providing any necessary PPE, look after your health and safety, and reimburse all agreed out of pocket expenses.
