Westbank run a number of friendship and social groups, aimed at different target groups but at the heart of it trying to reduce isolation in the community and provide an opportunity for people to meet and ideally make new friends along the way.

We complement these by offering social outings to members of the community who might otherwise not be able to get out and about on a social level, using our minibus here at Westbank.

The role is supporting the minibus driver and other volunteers to assist a group of individuals to enjoy their day out.  We visit numerous locations during the year including places of interest, sight-seeing on Dartmoor as well as visiting other services that could be beneficial (i.e. Independent Living Centre).
