Healthier Devon & Living Well Taking Control are two health education programmes being delivered across Devon which aim to reduce people’s risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.  The aim is to support people to make sustainable lifestyle changes that help them better understand and to take control of their diet and exercise and to better manage their health. The programme is delivered in a group environment in community venues across a range of sites in the UK.

Shortlisting Criteria:

  • Experience of facilitating group sessions
  • Working in a community setting
  • Experience of working unsupervised
  • IT Literate
  • Car Driver – willing to travel where needed
  • High ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and using various forms of communication
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles of self- management and motivational interviewing.
