We offer clients attending the centre a warm welcome to our friendly and homely day care centre, where stimulating company and health and wellbeing activities are on offer every-day.

Activities include:

  • Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) for people with mild or moderate dementia. This approach sits alongside a range of mental stimulation activities such as music sessions, word quiz games which include cards, bingo and scrabble
  • With independence in mind, we provide physical stimulation through our daily walking programme along the Westbank corridor and seated chair exercises
  • A hot three-course lunch prepared and cooked fresh on-site every day
  • Afternoon entertainment which can include sing-a-longs, memory box talks, quizzes and afternoon tea with homemade cake

The day ends at 4.30pm after that clients return to their homes.

Other services that the day centre offers:

  • Home visits from the daycare manager to assess individual needs before attending the day centre
  • Supported transportation where possible
