About my role at Westbank

I am a member of the Board with responsibility for supporting Safeguarding at Westbank.

My stand out career moments

I worked for the local authority for over 20 years, firstly for the Youth Service and the last 6 were as the Workforce Development Lead for the Devon Safeguarding Children Board.  We provided support, advice and training to organisations, large and small, statutory and voluntary across the children’s workforce.

My values

I believe the values espoused by Westbank and feel the organisation, its staff and volunteers, deserve to be supported and if I can contribute to that in some small way, then I am pleased to offer my services.

Personal interests

I have two grown-up children, one living with his family in Canada and one in London.  I have been involved in Scouting since the early 1980s, first as a Beaver Scout Leader then as a Scout leader and latterly in manager and supporter roles.  In particular, I am a trainer and work nationally to deliver safeguarding training as well as numerous other things.  In my spare time, I am learning agility with my dog.

“A chance to work with a fantastic, committed group of staff and volunteers fulfilling much-needed community services”.
