About my role at Westbank

Board Member and Finance Committee Member.

My stand out career moments

Originally a physicist, after completing my PhD in Spectroscopy, I changed career to accountancy joining KPMG in London.  I obtained my ACA and worked in Audit for big multinational clients such as ICI and BHP Billiton.  After a career break bringing up my daughters, I returned to work as Chief Finance Officer of a School Trust and am now working at Exeter Diocese supporting over 500 parishes across Devon.

My values

I have always valued teamwork, kindness and generosity in work and personal life, and believe these qualities create a supportive culture which can bring out the best in people.  Westbank has a great ethos and to which I am bringing my values, experience and analytical skills to support it going forward.

Personal interests

I have lived in many different places within the UK and abroad, and still love to travel and learn about different cultures and places with my friends and family.  I also love literature and theatre and am a regular visitor to the Hay Book Festival.

“I’m inspired by the wonderful staff and volunteers at Westbank who work hard to improve the lives of those in the community around them."
