About my role at Westbank

I joined Westbank in August 2021 as Head of Carers Services. It’s a great privilege to lead these services so that carers can be supported to thrive and overcome the challenges they are facing.

My stand out career moments

I’ve always been passionate about people and social justice. I’m pleased that my career has given me the opportunity to focus on both of these. Prior to joining Westbank, I worked in the Supported Housing sector for over a decade.

So far my career highlights, among many others, include:

  • Establishing alternative ways of providing housing for young people in Exeter.
  • Transforming services from underperforming to highly successful ones.
  • Coaching and mentoring my team and seeing them thrive.
My values

I believe in doing the right thing, doing it well, and putting my all into it. It’s important to be kind and generous in all we do.

It’s really exciting to join an organisation that believes that too and is striving to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of people in Devon.

Personal interests

When I’m not at work, I enjoy time with my family. You’d usually find me outside, probably  in, on or near the sea. Otherwise try looking on Dartmoor.

I play guitar and I’m part of our church’s band; and like good coffee, books and nature.

Seeing the difference we can make for the amazing and dedicated carers in Devon.
