About my role at Westbank

I’m a member of the Board of Trustees.  I am also a member of the Finance sub-group and provide advice and support to specific projects on an ad-hoc basis.

My stand out career moments

I worked in financial management roles for Philips and GEC before joining South West Water in 1989 where I was latterly Director of Regulation, retiring in 2010. I then undertook voluntary roles as a Teignmouth Harbour Commissioner and as a trustee (latterly Chair) with Shared Lives South West.

My values

From the experience of close family members, I know that many people in our community lead isolated lives without the support to maintain their independence or the encouragement to interact with others and advance their personal wellbeing. Helping to make things better gives me purpose.

Personal interests

After several years caring for elderly parents, my wife and I have recently caught the travel bug, with a focus on art galleries and tapas bars. At home in Dawlish, we get to spend valuable time with our grand-daughter. I play tennis regularly and am a passionate Spurs supporter.

“I get to meet and work with people who have so many of the best values at heart”.
