Not everyone has access to a car or a friendly driver to help them get to appointments or social activities. Sometimes important appointments are missed and people can become at risk of loneliness because of transport problems. As a volunteer driver, you can be helping people who have no other way of getting to their appointments/activities. The people you will help are often very grateful. You can do as many or few drives as suits you, so don’t worry about starting up a taxi service!

Some of our transport users have mobility problems, so it will be helpful to know if you can assist with minimal help getting patients in and out of your vehicle. Manual handling training can be arranged.
